This one important. STRAP plan approved April 2026. It expands reservation and shuttle rules from Quandary and McCullough Gulch. Summer 2026: June 13-September 13. No reservation, no trail. Simple.
The shuttle ($7 for non-residents) runs from Breckenridge South Gondola Parking Garage to Quandary Peak Trailhead every 30-60 min, 5 AM to 5 PM. Book at hikequandary.com up to two weeks out: reservations open June 1. Zero cell signal at the trailhead. Print the QR code like it’s 2009.
Spruce Creek / Mohawk Lakes and Blue Lakes are also under STRAP phased rollout. Always verify at Summit County trail reservations 2026 before driving out. Wildflower season waits for nobody, but a $100 illegal parking fine absolutely waits for you.

Denver to Breckenridge about 80 miles. Take I-70 West and CO-9 South. About 1.5-2 hour when traffic good. From Denver Airport add 15 minute. Sounds easy. Not always.

We used a car service from Cherry Creek to Red Rocks concert and had a great experience. Driver Niko was professional, punctual, and made the whole trip smooth and comfortable. The best part was not having to deal with parking. Everything was handled smooth from pickup to drop-off upper north lot and back to hotel. Reliable, comfortable, see you next time!
