Denver to Edwards Car Service & Private Shuttle

Denver to Edwards Car Service & Private Shuttle

Reservation form

Denver to Edwards means two-ish hours of I-70 and at least one rental doing 35 in the left lane. Our Denver to Edwards car service skips that show. A driver meets you at DEN, loads the skis and drops you at the real front door, at Riverwalk, in Singletree or behind a Cordillera gate. Flat rates start at $600. No surprises included.

Distance and Drive Time from Denver to Edwards

Anyone googling how far is Edwards from Denver gets simple math. Downtown is about 110 miles away. The Denver Airport to Edwards run is closer to 132 miles, roughly 2 hours 10 minutes on a clean day. Storms and the Sunday crawl can push it past three hours. Mountains ignore dinner reservations.

The Route: I-70 West to Exit 163

The Denver to Edwards Colorado drive is one moody highway. I-70 West climbs through the Eisenhower Tunnel at over 11,000 feet, then tops Vail Pass at 10,662 feet. Past Vail and Avon, you follow the Eagle River into the Vail Valley and take Exit 163. The Edwards Spur Road drops you onto US-6, the main drag. Our I-70 Mountain Corridor guide covers the sketchy parts, and when I-70 closes, check the alternate routes to Vail and Beaver Creek.

Colorado Traction Law on I-70

From September 1 through May 31, the Traction Law covers I-70 between Morrison and Dotsero, so every mile to Edwards. Once CDOT activates it, 4WD and AWD vehicles need 3/16-inch tread, and 2WD cars need chains or an approved traction device. Skip it, get fined. Our vehicles run snow tires all winter, so the Colorado traction law is our homework. Official rules sit on the CDOT Traction Law page.

Denver or Eagle Airport for Edwards

Eagle County Regional Airport is 22 miles out, so Eagle Airport to Edwards takes about 30 minutes, no passes. The catch is fewer, mostly seasonal flights and pricier tickets. Landing at EGE, grab our Eagle Airport car service.

Scrolling Edwards Colorado hotels is a short scroll, since town has one: The Inn at Riverwalk. The Lodge & Spa at Cordillera no longer runs as a hotel, so most folks rent homes. Riverwalk Edwards is our busiest stop, Singletree Edwards is next, and Sonnenalp Club Edwards golfers bring clubs all summer. Staying nearby, book Beaver Creek car service, Denver Airport to Arrowhead or a Bachelor Gulch drop-off.

Going to Vail Health Edwards on Beard Creek Road, the driver pulls up to the entrance, handles bags and waits by arrangement. Just logistics.

Cordillera: Getting Through the Gate

Cordillera Colorado covers about 7,000 private acres, and the gatehouses at The Divide and The Ranch mean business. Owners use RFID windshield stickers. Guests are invited through FRONTSTEPS Visitor Management, and regular vendors register vehicles with Cordillera Public Safety. So send us the host’s name and address, get the ride added to FRONTSTEPS, and our driver checks in at the gatehouse like a responsible adult. See Cordillera gate access and our Denver to Cordillera car service page.

Staying in Edwards, Skiing Beaver Creek

Myth-bust: Edwards is not a ski resort. No lifts, not even a bunny hill. You sleep here and ski Beaver Creek about 10 minutes away. The fare-free Core Transit Highway 6 route links Edwards with Avon, Eagle-Vail and Vail, so après needs no designated driver.

We had an amazing experience with this company! They took care of all our transportation throughout our vacation — two evenings for «Goose» at Red Rocks, plus a round trip to Breckenridge. Dan even showed us the scenic route over Loveland Pass instead of going through the tunnel. Excellent service from start to finish!

Our driver Greg was excellent! He knew about the closure in Glenwood Canyon and took us through the stunning Independence Pass instead. The drive from Denver Airport to Aspen took less than four hours, and the scenery along the way was absolutely beautiful. Greg was friendly, professional, and great to talk to. We highly recommend this private transportation company!

Absolutely wonderful! Niko was on time, efficient, a great driver and knowledgeable about Redrocks and the area. Clean, nice van for 12 of us. It rained before the concert so after dropping us off he came back and picked us up, letting us sit in the van until the rain passed. It was a helpful way to keep us dry and enjoy the concert fully when it started. Thanks Niko!

Our first experience with Mr. Chauffeur was outstanding. From pickup to drop-off, communication was clear, and the trip went smoothly. The driver demonstrated exceptional skill in navigating traffic and knew the best route for a quick stop at the box office before dropping us off at the concert. Our driver was dedicated to coordinating a meeting spot after the concert and ensuring passenger comfort and punctuality. We highly recommend Mr. Chauffeur for private transportation and plan to use their services again.

We used a car service from Cherry Creek to Red Rocks concert and had a great experience. Driver Niko was professional, punctual, and made the whole trip smooth and comfortable. I did a trip from Denver airport to Vail. The service was excellent and my driver, Max, was incredibly professional. I have been with many chauffeur companies in my time and travels throughout the US and Colorado but I can easily say this was my favourite trip I've had. Communication before and during pickup was excellent so I didn't feel lost at all after arriving. Hands down, the best car service I have had.
