These are the main things to do in Steamboat Springs. We also cover the easiest way to get there from Denver.

Strawberry Park Hot Springs vs Old Town Hot Springs
Steamboat has two hot springs. Mixing them up is a common mistake. This mistake appears in many roundups. Strawberry Park Hot Springs is about seven miles from downtown. The road to get there is partly dirt. There are stone lined pools along Hot Springs Creek. The water runs from 102°F to 106°F.
Some areas are even hotter. The hours are Sunday through Thursday from 10 AM to 10 PM. The hours are Friday and Saturday from 10 AM to midnight. Last entry is one hour before close. Reservations open 30 days in advance. The pools change after sunset. Clothing is optional at night. The night session is for adults only. Old Town Hot Springs sits right downtown. It is located at Third Street and Lincoln Avenue.
This place is built for families. And features natural mineral springs pools. It features two water slides. And of course, it features a climbing wall, and a full fitness center. You can reach it on the free Steamboat Springs Transit bus. Strawberry Park is the wild and authentic soak. Old Town is the convenient and kid friendly option.
If the dirt road isn’t your thing, Sweet Pea Tours and Hot Springs Adventures both run a shuttle from the Steamboat Transit Center all summer: proof plenty of visitors skip the drive. Reserve your soak ahead of time through Strawberry Park Hot Springs reservations, since spots do cap out on busy weekends.

Our first experience with Mr. Chauffeur was outstanding. From pickup to drop-off, communication was clear, and the trip went smoothly. The driver demonstrated exceptional skill in navigating traffic and knew the best route for a quick stop at the box office before dropping us off at the concert. Our driver was dedicated to coordinating a meeting spot after the concert and ensuring passenger comfort and punctuality. We highly recommend Mr. Chauffeur for private transportation and plan to use their services again.

We used a car service from Cherry Creek to Red Rocks concert and had a great experience. Driver Niko was professional, punctual, and made the whole trip smooth and comfortable. The best part was not having to deal with parking. Everything was handled smooth from pickup to drop-off upper north lot and back to hotel. Reliable, comfortable, see you next time!
