Bachelor Gulch is Beaver Creek’s fancier, gated little sibling, ski-in ski-out and about as far from a public bus stop as Vail gets. Getting from Eagle Airport to Bachelor Gulch takes about 40 minutes on paper, but a private gate and driver authorization rules turn that short hop into its own small operation. We’ve run Eagle Airport car service out of the Vail Valley since 2016, and Bachelor Gulch car service is where we send our most patient drivers, straight from EGE to the Ritz-Carlton, a home on Daybreak Ridge, or wherever your ski week begins.
Distance and Drive Time from Eagle Airport to Bachelor Gulch
Eagle County Regional Airport sits in Gypsum, CO, about 25 miles from Bachelor Gulch. The drive from EGE to Bachelor Gulch runs 40 minutes in normal conditions, I-70 eastbound in under five minutes, past Eagle and Edwards, off at I-70 exit 167 for Avon, then a short climb on Highway 6 into the village. Add ten to fifteen minutes on a snow day, the last stretch is switchbacks. Denver International runs closer to two hours fifteen, longer once I-70 backs up over Vail Pass. Twenty five miles looks close on a map, until winter shows up.
The Gate. How Access to Bachelor Gulch Actually Works
Bachelor Gulch is a gated community, and gate access isn’t automatic, not for us and not for a rideshare driver who’s never been through security before. Every private transfer to Bachelor Gulch booking needs the basics 24 hours out, sent straight to the Bachelor Gulch Village gatehouse:
- Full name and dates
- Arrival flight number
- Property or hotel name
- Callback phone number
Authorization usually clears within a few hours, sometimes same day if you book late. Night arrivals don’t change the paperwork, but the gate guard shift changes overnight, so we confirm twice, once before you land and once ten minutes out. Dropping at the Ritz-Carlton is simple, the hotel sits on the daily gate list and valet meets the car under the porte-cochere. A private residence is slower, the homeowner has to add your name individually.
Eagle Airport to Bachelor Gulch Rates
Bachelor Gulch transportation rates are fixed the day you book, no surge, no cash for the gate guard. An SUV runs $299, a nine passenger van is $375, the fourteen passenger van is $425, all for the same 40 minutes run from EGE. Flying into Denver pushes those vehicles to $575, $850, and $950. See the full rate list for every route we run, including Denver Airport car service if DEN is your only option.

Where We Drop Off in Bachelor Gulch
Every listing online treats Bachelor Gulch as one dot on a map. It isn’t. Once you clear the gate, Bachelor Gulch Village splits into pockets several minutes apart along a winter road. Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch transportation is our most requested drop-off. Ski-in ski-out means exactly that here, and it’s why village-to-village skiing over to Beaver Creek or Arrowhead matters so much to guests who never touch a car again all week. Our Beaver Creek car service drivers cover both sides of the mountain.
| Drop-off Point | Time From Gate | Nearby |
| The Ritz-Carlton | ~6 min | Ski valet |
| Village core | ~5 min | Shops |
| Daybreak Ridge Road | ~9 min | Residences |
| Horizon Pass / Elkhorn | ~8 min | Bachelor Gulch Express lift |
| Settlers Lodge | ~10 min | Beaver Creek Mountain |
Arriving by Private Jet at Eagle Airport
Eagle County Regional Airport runs a real FBO, Vail Valley Jet Center, and that’s where most private jet pickups happen. Send your tail number and ETA and we handle flight tracking, so a weather hold never leaves you standing on the ramp. Meet and greet starts at the aircraft steps, not the curb, bags go straight to the car, and the run from Vail Valley Jet Center to Bachelor Gulch is the same 25 minutes as the commercial terminal.
Why Not Uber, a Rental or the Bus
Rideshare drivers don’t have gate access, full stop, so an Uber to Bachelor Gulch means a call from the gatehouse and a cold wait. A Bachelor Gulch airport shuttle runs shared and cheaper on paper, but it drops outside the gate, not your door. Rental cars need winter tires and still need a gate pass. Core Transit is nearly free but wasn’t built for ski bags, and stops short of the village. Flying into Denver changes the math again, our Denver to Bachelor Gulch private shuttle page breaks that comparison down in full.
| Option | Price | Past Gate | Fixed | Skis / Luggage |
| Private transfer | $299+ | Yes | Yes | Full |
| Uber / Lyft | Varies | Rarely | No | Limited |
| Shared shuttle | $49-69/pp | Outside gate | Yes | Limited |
| Rental car | + parking | Gate pass | No | Own risk |
| Core Transit | ~$4 | No | Yes | Not built for it |
Winter Driving, Skis and Luggage
Every vehicle runs real winter tires all season, because I-70 and Highway 6 both close or chain up most winters. We check CDOT road conditions before every run and build in extra time on red flag days. Ski bags, boot bags, and full size boards ride free, no roof box required.
Booking Your Bachelor Gulch Transfer
Every Eagle County airport to Bachelor Gulch booking works the same way:
- Share your flight number
- Confirm your arrival time
- We handle gate access
- Meet your driver curbside
Book early in ski season, gate authorization is easy, good drivers on a powder day are not.

Our driver Greg was excellent! He knew about the closure in Glenwood Canyon and took us through the stunning Independence Pass instead. The drive from Denver Airport to Aspen took less than four hours, and the scenery along the way was absolutely beautiful. Greg was friendly, professional, and great to talk to. We highly recommend this private transportation company!

Absolutely wonderful! Niko was on time, efficient, a great driver and knowledgeable about Redrocks and the area. Clean, nice van for 12 of us. It rained before the concert so after dropping us off he came back and picked us up, letting us sit in the van until the rain passed. It was a helpful way to keep us dry and enjoy the concert fully when it started. Thanks Niko!

I did a trip from Denver airport to Vail. The service was excellent and my driver, Max, was incredibly professional. I have been with many chauffeur companies in my time and travels throughout the US and Colorado but I can easily say this was my favourite trip I've had. Communication before and during pickup was excellent so I didn't feel lost at all after arriving. Hands down, the best car service I have had.
